Akshat Talreja of GIIS East Coast campus, Class 6 A designed a ROBO STRIKER, an innovative remote controlled striker for playing soccer, indoors. Akshat won 1st prize in the Category II of Power Zone at GIIS Innovation Fest 2013.

Parikshith Prabakar of class 7A was awarded second prize in debate competition held in the year 2011 on the topic Singapore schools should go paperless. Parikshith has also played the lead role as a Gini in a MUSICAL CHARITY show The Gift in Nov 2010. It was for fund raising for the treatment of children suffering from cancer. He was awarded first prize in the inter school fancy dress competition for primary schools in Jan 2009 conducted by Changat CC.

Singapore Chess Federation has organized 24th National Rapid Chess Championships 2012 - Challengers Open on 13th and 14th Oct 2012 , 105 top most players from different age categories has taken part in event Arya Shah, who was playing his first national tournament in Singapore won 5 games out of 9 games, he played against 3 top rated players during tournament and came 2nd and won trophy in unrated categories.

Parikshith Prabakar of class 7A East Coast campus had secured distinction in Grade 2 Keyboard examination conducted by Trinity College of London. He has also successfully completed his Speech and Drama Grade 2 examination with High Merit conducted by Trinity College of London. Parikshith has also secured a place in the top 25% in Singapore in International science examination for grade 5 conducted by UNSW Global.

Likhith Raghunath from Class 6-A won First Prize in the Young Artists-2012 Children Drawing Contest conducted by Peoples Association on 4th November 2012. Children were given 5 themes on the spot based on which they were asked to do the drawing & Coluring. He emerged champion in his age group.The Theme he choose was My Dream for Singapore.

Under Rishab Jains captaincy, GIIS - EC has won the championship Howzat Under 11 Series 10 in 2012. He also contributed to his GIIS - EC team which won the under 12 championship of ACSIS cricket cup in 2012 with excellent batting and wicket keeping.

Gargi has secured Runner Up position in Gek Poh Ville CC Badminton Tournament in Under 11 Girls category.

Aarini Padma is regularly participating in fancy dress, singing and speech competitions organized by Community clubs like Geyland Serai. This time she got 2nd prize in the event and would like to thank her class teacher Jolly Vatsa for all her efforts in bringing her up.
